"The inspiration of my program was when close friends lost their home and two family members in a fire. Hotshots promotes fire safety and firefighter support. Last November l polled local firefighters and they said their greatest need was bottled water, especially with the hot summer coming. So, I began a drive to collect water. Along with hosting a 5K to raise money, I am also selling t-shirts and MudLOVE bracelets. I set a goal of 12,000 bottles of water and so far have collected 17,000!!! Wouldn't it be incredible if Hotshots became a National Fire Safety/Firefighter Support Initiative? With organizations like MudLOVE supporting Hotshots and spreading the word, the sky is the limit." -Ivey R.
